Construction Accounting Manager – Alpharetta, GA

What: Seeking a Construction Accounting Manager to support the CFO and lead a small team of accountants.

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a hands-on Construction Accounting Manager to manage daily financial operations, support the CFO, and lead a small team. This role is key to maintaining accuracy in job costing and billing while ensuring compliance and financial visibility across multiple projects.

Key Responsibilities:

● Lead general accounting, job costing, and billing functions

● Partner with CFO on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting

● Manage month-end close and financial statement preparation

● Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll functions

● Ensure compliance with sales tax and regulatory requirements

● Collaborate with project managers and operations teams

● Improve processes through financial and construction software tools

Qualifications:

● 5+ years of accounting experience in the construction industry

● Proficient in Foundation Software, Sage 300/Timberline, or similar

● Experience with Procore or other project management tools

● Strong background in job costing and AIA billing

● Sales tax compliance experience is a plus

● Excellent leadership and communication skills

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
