We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Construction Project Manager to lead new construction (out-of-ground) projects from conception through completion and manage tenant improvement projects. This individual will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of project execution — from design review and budgeting to field coordination and quality control.
This position is ideal for a results-driven leader with deep knowledge of construction processes and a hands-on approach to managing budgets, schedules, teams, and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-Construction Design Review: Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs align with project goals, feasibility, and budget.
- Estimating & Budgeting: Develop accurate project cost estimates and detailed budgets to support financial planning and reporting.
- Preparing Contracts: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants to secure favorable terms.
- Scheduling: Create and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical paths and adjusting timelines as needed.
- Cost Control: Monitor expenses, approve change orders, and implement cost-saving measures to ensure projects stay within budget.
- Quality Control: Enforce high-quality standards and specifications throughout all project phases, performing regular inspections and reviews.
- Safety Management: Promote and maintain job site safety by enforcing compliance with OSHA regulations and internal protocols.
- Field Coordination & Supervision: Manage day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely project delivery.
- New Construction (Out of Ground): Oversee large-scale, ground-up construction projects from site preparation to final turnover.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 7–10+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, specifically in ground-up projects
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project,)
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred
