School Maintenance Technician - HVAC/Refrigeration
Ephrata Area School District, Ephrata, PA, is recruiting for a School Maintenance Technician - HVAC/Refrigeration. Position is anticipated to be available immediately. This is a full-time, first-shift, 12-month opportunity that offers a competitive hourly wage and participation in the district's medical/dental/vision insurance and retirement plans.
The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of skilled mechanical and building trades maintenance functions to assure the efficient and safe operation of the various district buildings, facilities and equipment. Background and experience in the installation, troubleshooting and repair of HVAC/Refrigeration equipment is required. Additional training or skills essential to performing this position also include plumbing, electrical, carpentry, construction and mechanical repair. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and professionally and work well with others from diverse backgrounds. Will lead and/or assist other Maintenance Staff in the completion of work orders and assignments.

Other Requirements: Applicants must also possess the following criminal clearances obtained within the last 12 months: Act 34 - PA Criminal Record; Act 114 - FBI Background Check; Act 151 - PA Child Abuse Clearance. The Ephrata Area School District also requires a pre-employment drug test, physical, and TB test upon offer of employment as directed by PDE and the PA Department of Health.
Rate/Salary based upon experience.
