Expectations of This Position:
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating company-owned machinery in a safe and effective manner. They must be able to demonstrate safe operation of the assigned equipment. Operator is expected to use his/her experience and judgment to make decisions considering safety and efficiency.
Duties:
· Ensure all safety requirements and codes are implemented and met by all team members
· Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
· Understand means and methods to safely perform assigned tasks
· Understand and ensure the safety of team members
· Monitor and track field data as requested by the superintendent
· Maintain required daily paperwork
· Operate heavy equipment.
· Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner to minimize the risk of injury, property damage, or loss of life in accordance with company policies and procedures
· Perform daily pre-inspections: identify problems or defects that need to be corrected, and report problems or defects immediately
· Heavy Equipment includes (but is not limited to): Excavator, Dozer, Off-Road Truck, Motor Grader, Backhoe, Roller, Reclaimer
Compensation Package:
· Hourly position based on experience: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience
· Medical benefits available after 60 days of full-time employment
· Supplemental benefits available after 60 days of full-time employment
· 401K with company match plan after 1 year of full-time employment
· Life Insurance and Disability of $25,000 paid by company
Education/License:
· High School Diploma / GED (Preferred)
· OSHA 10 or 30 (Preferred)
· CPR / First Aid Training (Preferred)
