Responsibilities
- Work under the direction of the Assigned Foreman as part of a field crew constructing ground-level and foundation-based water storage tanks.
- Perform shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) using 6010 and 7018 rods, ensuring strong, consistent, and high-quality welds.
- Set up, operate, and adjust welding machines and tools for various processes and materials.
- Weld, grind, gouge, and finish metals primarily at ground level in controlled work areas.
- Maintain and inspect tools, machinery, and materials before and during work.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and ensure a safe, organized worksite.
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and supervisor direction at all times.
- Perform housekeeping duties and other assigned tasks to support the team and jobsite operations.

Physical Demands
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the workday
- Regular use of hands and arms to operate tools and handle materials
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs independently and 100 lbs with assistance
- Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise welding and grinding
- Must have adequate vision and hearing for safety and quality assurance
Work Environment
- Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind
- Regular exposure to fumes, airborne particles, dust, and moderate noise levels
- Work takes place at ground level with strict adherence to safety procedures
- Requires travel to multiple job sites across the United States
- Must be available for 40+ hours per week, with flexibility for overtime and extended assignments
