Machine Repairer / Millwright

Maintain, install, repair, etc. a wide variety of heavy industrial production machinery in a large brass and copper mill including all types of welding, piping, plumbing and mechanical maintenance and repair work. Duties include:<\/span>
<\/p>

• Utilize skills and appropriate tools to install, maintain, and repair heavy industrial machinery<\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>

• Set up, clamp, pre -heat, and welds all types of metals (cast iron and steel, carbon and alloy steels, copper, brass, aluminum, etc.) <\/span>
  <\/p><\/li>

• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic circuitry, valves, pumps, and various water, steam, gas, systems<\/span><\/span>

  Requirements<\/h3>

  • Experience in industrial mechanical repair, <\/span>piping, and welding (triple<\/span> -<\/span>traded preferred). Journeyman is a PLUS<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Tools and Equipment proficiency (as many of these as possible is a PLUS): hand and air tools, grinders, measuring instruments, hoisting/rigging, forklifts, welders, torches, generators, drill press, overhead crane, hydraulic press, electric threading machine, pipe bending tools, etc.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Comfortable utilizing prints, drawings, shim stock, spare parts, rolls, shear blades, etc.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Physically capable of handling heavy loads (materials over 50 lbs. are moved mechanically)<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • Know the expansion / contraction of metals and proper fluxes, rods, torch sizes, fuel mixtures, speeds, currents, etc.<\/span><\/span>
