Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Work closely with engineering management and assist in the development of design documents including engineering reports, calculations and analysis, drawings, specifications, and engineer’s opinion of probable construction
• Coordinate with other disciplines as well as other internal and external team members (e.g. vendors, clients, and contractors)
• Develop, maintain, and/or modify system components' designs/proposals to provide installation and detail documentation

Requirements and Qualifications: 

• Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
• 2+ years of applicable experience in a government or contractor setting
• Must have experience in aviation design
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a DoD security clearance at the secret level
• Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Experience and Knowledge: 

• Experience in Solidworks is highly desired
• Ability to work as part of a collaborative design team
• Desire and ability to lead small technical teams solving challenging, multi-disciplinary design problems
