Pipe/Utility Foreman

Capital Paving and Construction is a leading heavy civil construction company specializing in highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects. We are dedicated to safety, quality, and efficiency, delivering high-impact projects that improve transportation networks. We are currently seeking an experienced Pipe/Utility foreman to join our team and oversee project execution in the Central Arkansas area. 

JOB DUTIES:

• The Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of Strom Sewer or Utility placement, Planning, Scheduling, Material ordering, Safety, Quality, Production, and overall Crew Management and Training.
• Must understand and be able to achieve on-line status of crew’s performance including vertical and horizontal alignments, backfill compaction per specifications, trench safety/competent person requirements, equipment maintenance and overall contract specifications.
• Communicate with Project Superintendent and Project Manager to the daily job requirements and specifications.
• Assist workers engaged in construction activities, using hand tools or other equipment
• Train and develop crew members as deemed necessary
• Maintain good customer relations by acting in a professional and courteous manner
• Ability to proficiently operate excavator, front bucket loaders, forklift and skid steer.
• Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements and procedure planning

• 5+ Years of supervisory experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Self-Starter with a positive attitude.
• Experienced with trench and excavation safety, underground utility construction, hoisting & rigging safety and knowledge of construction stakes for alignment and grade is a must.
• Willingness to travel to remote projects with weekly overnights possible.
• Ability to work outside in all types of weather conditions including hot and cold temperatures and humidity.
• Ability to properly follow company policies and OSHA/MSHA requirements for safe working procedures and environments.
• Willingness to undergo a background check, physical, drug, and alcohol testing.
