The ROW/Construction Inspector Supervisor will be under the direction of the Road & Bridge Director. Oversee and coordinates testing and inspections for construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and specifications. He/ She will visually inspect construction procedures and materials. Schedule and observe all material testing to ensure compliance with project specifications. Review and approve material submittals, shop drawings, review project documents and specifications, report results verbally and in writing.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises inspection team, including assigning and reviewing all inspection aspects from current projects.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school graduation or its equivalent. Associates degree in an engineering field preferred but not required. Minimum 5 years of experience in roadway/highway construction/inspection to include but not limited to dirt grading and compaction, asphalt placement and compaction and concrete placement along with Midland County Standards & Specifications.
KNOWLEDGE OF
Various types of soils, asphalt and concrete. Understand the process of soils, asphalt and concrete testing. Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
SKILL/ABILITY TO
Analyze, evaluate and manage overall safety, personnel and material testing relating to road construction and maintenance. Review plans, specifications, notes, and shop/working drawings for construction activities. Oversee and coordinate inspections and testing for construction projects to ensure compliance with plans, codes, and specifications. Communicate with stakeholders and residents as it pertains to capitol projects as well as permitted projects.
