Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Steel Fitter/Welder to join our growing 2nd shift team in Fort Lauderdale. In this role, you will be responsible for fitting and assembling various steel structures according to blueprints and specifications while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine project requirements
• Measure, cut, and fit steel components according to specifications
• Align and weld steel components to create structural assemblies
• Verify measurements and alignments using precision measuring tools
• Install miscellaneous steel items such as stairs, handrails, and support structures
• Maintain quality control standards throughout the fitting process
• Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures
• Coordinate with other trades and team members on project requirements
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2-3 years of experience in steel fitting and fabrication
• Valid welding certification
• Current OSHA safety certification
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of various welding techniques and procedures
• Experience with steel fitting tools and measuring equipment
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions
• Knowledge of industry safety standards and quality control procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
