Job Title: Cobb - utility Feed Load Receive Operator FM03

Schedule: Monday-Thursday AND Friday

Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00 am to 4:00 pm AND Friday 5:00 am — 3:00 pm The work schedule is subject to change based upon production needs.

Position Summary:

  • This position is responsible for maintaining the feed mill, office area, shower facility and break area in clean orderly condition including laundry. Maintains outside area including mowing, trimming, and tractor operation. The utility will be a backup for any non-DOT mill team members who are on vacation and/or absent.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleans and maintains floors, work surfaces in the feed mill facility including office, shower, and break areas daily. (30%)

  • Wash Laundry (10%)

  • Maintain outside grounds areas of the mill including mowing, weed eating and snow removal. (20%)  Clean mill and farm trucks and Bag scratch feed or trial feed. (10%)

  • Serves as a floater for non-DOT mill personnel for absences and vacations. (20%)

  • Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. Such as cleaning assigned "clean" areas within the feed mill. (10%)

Biosecurity Requirements:

  • Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided bythe company. No jewelry may be worn on the job site except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens. ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity Guidelines.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

 Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. Must regularly lift up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 60 pounds. Will occasionally be required to ascend/descend a caged ladder 197 feet high. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand (concrete floor); walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle. or feel objects, tools. or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception; and the ability to adjust focus. Must have good communication skills to accurately convey opinions and concerns.

                  Tools and Equipment: Riding Lawnmower, weed trimmer, loaders, track mobile, forklift

      Environment: Required to work on wet, slippery surfaces and also in hot, dry, dusty, wet and cold environments. Heavy exposure to corn and soy dust.

 Personal Protective Equipment Required: Safety Glasses, Safety goggles, face shields, chemical gloves, waterproof apron, and rubber boots are required. Earplugs will be used as needed. NIOSH approved N95 particulate respirators will be wom as needed. Must be able to pass a respirator fit test. Hard Hats, Reflective vests, and Safety Shoes will be worn as needed.

          Chemicals Commonly Used: Herbicides, Pesticides, and Disinfectants.

 Safety: Team Member is expected to follow all applicable safety policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Lockout-Tagout, and Personal Protective equipment. Team Member is expected to identify, address, and mitigate safety-related risks.
