Welder – Night Shift

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and finishing operations.
 

Pay: $22.00 – $25.00 per hour
Shift: 7:00 PM – 5:00 AM
Schedule: Monday – Friday

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate welding equipment as well as various power and hand tools

• Monitor welding, burning, and fitting processes to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage

• Perform daily preventative maintenance on welding tools and equipment as required

• Ensure the overall quality of welding work, including distortion and dimensional control, and take corrective actions as needed

• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

• Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies efficiently to accomplish job results

• Contribute to team efforts by training others in welding tasks as needed

• Inspect all work to ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it to the next operation

• Document actions by completing production and quality forms

Minimum Requirements:

• 1–3+ years of experience in MIG and/or TIG welding

• Ability to read blueprints and follow specific written instructions and procedures

• Basic understanding of mathematics as it relates to welding assignments

• Strong sense of urgency, initiative, and problem-solving skills

• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Welding certification preferred
