Overview:
The Automated Machine Electrician will install and debug wiring on custom machinery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read control drawings
  • Understand electrical drawing that indicates location of outlets, transformers, I/O blocks, junction boxes, and other equipment
  • Layout electrical back plates per electrical print (ie: Wireway, din rail, mounting brackets)
  • Install electrical components (i.e.: terminals, circuit brakers, fuses, power supplies, PLC, I/O cards, main disconnect, etc.) and identify them with Brady labels.
  • Properly label wires and wire all electrical components per control drawings
  • Wire transformers 480v, 240v, 120v, etc., as per print
  • Power main panel and troubleshoot electrical issues using testing device
  • Field wire components from the machine into the control panel
  • Wire in robot controllers from the machine into the control panel
  • Wire and install cable trays and wire baskets
  • Install and wire I/O blocks, run ethernet and power cords to remote devices
  • Integrate and wire bowl feeders, vision systems, printers, etc.
  • Travel to customer facilities when needed to assist with installation and/or services
  • Any additional duties assigned by management

 
Qualifications & Experience:
Any combination of education and/or experience providing the required skills and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:

  • Minimum 3 years of related electrical experience
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to obtain a valid passport
  • Ability to focus and concentrate to ensure safety and quality of work
  • May be asked to perform minor electrical test
