As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated FCAW Structural Steel Welder to join our team.
Type: Full-time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, day shift. Occasional overtime and/or weekends as needed.
Basic Job Responsibilities
- Interpret shop drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding process and procedures.
- Perform AWS D1.1 FCAW welding techniques on structural steel components using FCAW-G with precision and accuracy.
- Conduct visual inspections of welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and objectives.
- Adhere to and follow all safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must be able to pass a 3G, 4G plate certification test in accordance with ASME and AWS D1.1 Codes.
- Experience with standard shop equipment including overhead cranes.
- Be a forward-thinking individual and a self-starter.
- Ability to work well with others and take instruction from supervisors.
- Must pass pre-employment substance abuse testing.
