Position Overview
Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is seeking experienced Fleet Diesel Mechanics to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will perform maintenance and repairs on our fleet of vacuum trucks, heavy-duty trucks, and water blasting equipment, ensuring all vehicles and machinery remain in superior working condition to support our operations.
MULTIPLE POSITIONS AVAILABLE - PAY WILL BE BASED ON EXPERIENCE.
Essential Functions
- Prioritize health and safety by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures at all times.
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time, including repair orders, inspections, and inventory sheets.
- Meet expected repair timelines and perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment is ready and safe for use.
- Inspect, monitor, and maintain equipment to ensure it is in top working condition before deployment; identify and address any safety concerns requiring repair.
- Keep the shop area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times; report hazards and near-misses as appropriate.
- Perform other duties as directed.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to carry/move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor setting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a shop environment.
- 2+ years of experience working as a mechanic on heavy-duty equipment.
- 2+ years of experience maintaining/repairing water blasting equipment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year motor vehicle record.
- Ability to read and understand technical blueprints.
- Mechanical certifications are an asset.
- Willingness and ability to work beyond an 8-hour shift as required, including emergency response callouts.
- Strong commitment to following GEIR safety standards.
Pay
- $23-$34/hour (Pay is commensurate with prior experience)
