Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Fleet Mechanic to maintain and repair our company’s fleet of service vehicles. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to keep vehicles in top working condition to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on company vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid checks.     
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues using appropriate diagnostic equipment and tools.    
  • Complete necessary repairs, including brakes, suspension, electrical systems, heating/air conditioning, transmission swaps, and engine performance.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records for each vehicle.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles meet DOT, state, and company safety requirements.
  • Coordinate with operations staff to schedule maintenance and minimize service disruptions.
  • Order parts, maintain an organized shop, and manage tools and equipment.
  • Assist with vehicle accident damage assessments and repair coordination.
  • Support winterization and seasonal maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
  • Experience working on Skid and Excavator equipment
  • Experience welding

 

Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational training required.    
  • 3+ years of experience as an automotive or fleet mechanic (service vehicle experience preferred).
  • ASE certifications are a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and work in varying weather conditions as needed.
  • Diesel experience preferred.
  • DOT Inspection qualification.
  • Technician supplied tools is a plus.

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8 hour shift
