Weitsman Recycling is looking for a reliable and skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to support daily yard operations. This is a hands-on role operating front-end loaders, excavators, forklifts, and other heavy machinery to move and process scrap metal safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials throughout the scrap yard
• Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
• Follow all company safety protocols and maintain a clean work area
• Work closely with yard supervisors and team members to meet daily operational goals
• Assist with general yard labor and support tasks as needed

What We're Looking For:

• At least 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, or recycling setting
• Familiarity with safety standards and mechanical troubleshooting
• Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus)
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and lift up to 50 pounds
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to follow instructions
