Maintenance- Helper
Position Summary
As a Maintenance Helper, you will work in a safe and
efficient manner to provide unscheduled repairs and scheduled preventative
maintenance to all plant equipment and use tools required to maintain and
repair equipment.
Job Responsibilities
• Clean, and lubricate bearing, chains, sprocket and gears of machinery parts using rags, brushes and a grease gun.
• Clean and replace air filters on all related equipment.
• Assist with equipment disassembly and reassembly during scheduled sanitation in accordance with FSMA and GMP standards.
• Assist in performing preventive maintenance tasks and keep accurate preventive maintenance records.
• Assist with repairs to gear boxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps valves, furnaces, and drives.
• Diagnose and repair general mechanical failures.
• Perform work on roof-top, climbing ladders.
• Keep work areas and exterior facility clean and perform housekeeping duties as required.
• Follow attendance policy, show up for work on time and ready to work assigned shift.
• Maintain a clean and organized maintenance storeroom.
• Perform other work and other job assignments as required.
• Must be available to assist with unscheduled repairs.
• Weekend work is required.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• Preferred 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience inmanufacturing, industrial, technical, or military environment.
• In lieu of experience, on the job training may be offered if applicant has completed technical training (trade school).
• Must have basic proficiency of English language to comply
with verbal and written directions, signs, policies and procedures
The starting pay for this position is $16 per hour (doe).
Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to
background, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
