Summary

DHI’s Mechanic position is responsible for DHI’s fleet and manages preventive maintenance program, oil sampling, inspects pumps, trucks & equipment, ability to trouble shoot codes, oversees repairs by 3rd party, manages parts and supply inventory. Each employee is responsible and accountable for conducting their job tasks in a safe, healthy, and environmentally prudent manner. DHI is looking for a team player with a willingness to learn and grow with the Company. 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Manage maintenance program to promote reliability and reduce failures of DHI owned equipment. 
  • Monitor parts inventory management by establishing minimum and maximum items 
  • Monitors and oversees all repairs by 3rd party vendors  
  • Conducts inspections monthly on all DHI owned Equipment.
  • Performing major repair work when necessary. 
  • Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management. 
  • Clean DHI equipment and tools to ensure reliability and be operated safely 
  • Accountable for tools and supplies on DHI truck and ensure that supplies are restocked as needed.   
  • Completing all required documentation via ARI Garage 
  • Provides training to DHI field operations team 
  • Strict adherence to DHI policies and procedures. 
  • Projects and tasks as assigned by Director of Operations and Fleet Manager 

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be eligible to drive a company vehicle according to DHI’s insurance guidelines 
  • High School diploma or GED 
  • Ability to trouble-shoot electrical, mechanical, diesel engine problems, as well as hydraulic, centrifugal pump, and vacuum equipment, and mechanical seals 
  • Ensure oil sampling program is followed per OEM requirements 
  • Ability to understand necessary safety procedures and precautions 
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer/lap-top 
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry, preferred 
  • Intermediate knowledge of hand tools/power tools 
  • Ability to travel to off-site locations for repair 
  • Must be able to use battery and charging system test equipment 
  • Ability to successfully pass pre-employment and random DOT alcohol and drug screenings, background check, road test, and driving record review 
  • Certificates, Licenses and Registrations Attributes 

Qualifications

  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
  • Ability to become to utilize ARI Fleet Management Program 
  • ASE Certifications for HD and LD Vehicles – Brakes, Suspension, Diagnosis
  • Strong organizational skills to manage competing priorities 
  • Technical acumen
  • Interpersonal and relationship building skills with an ability to collaborate with district and corporate team members
  • Competent written and verbal communication skills
  • 5 years’ experience as a mechanic. 
  • Agile and quick learner, enjoys collaborative projects and continuous education

Work Schedule 

  • This position is working Monday-Friday during the day and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week and can expect text, email and phone call communications from the team 7 days per week.
