Rigging Technician<\/b>

Full\-Time Position<\/i>
<\/div>

<\/div>
We are looking for a Rigging Technician to bring support to our Rigging team. In this position, you will be responsi\- ble for the operation of Rigging equipment during rehearsals, performances or any show\-related tasks related to this position. You will also be key in ensuring Rigging equipment is safely setup, used and maintained, as well as assisting with inventory and safety inspections. The ideal candidate for this position will have a team player mind\- set as well as the ability to handle contingencies and work well under pressure. They should have effective com\- munication skills as this position could communicate on the headset often.

<\/div>
The Rigging Technician will have the opportunity to:<\/u>
<\/div>
\- Operate Rigging equipment during performances and rehearsals;
<\/div>
\- Ensure the safe setup, use and maintenance of Rigging equipment used by Artists during performances,
<\/div>
rehearsals and training periods by completing inspections in a timely manner;
<\/div>
\- Maintain cue track documentation and participate in cue track rotation, as directed;
<\/div>
\- Operate vehicles, mechanized devices or equipment, by running, maneuvering, navigating or driving, such
<\/div>
as forklifts and passenger vehicles;
<\/div>
\- Ensure all necessary maintenance and inspection records\/documentation are up\-to\-date and in
<\/div>
compliance with the Rigging equipment safety inspection program;
<\/div>
\- Assist with inventory by identifying any additional Rigging equipment that may be required and
<\/div>
communicate with Lead when necessary;
<\/div>
\- Assist with the maintenance of technical equipment;
<\/div>
\- Participate in special projects, including the construction and installation of new show elements, and
<\/div>
interdepartmental projects that include Rigging elements or other needs that may fall within the
<\/div>
department’s specialty, as directed; Maintain flexible schedule for such projects;
<\/div>
\- Adhere to and promote all Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations as they
<\/div>
pertain to the safe operation of all elements related to the show; participate in all required health and safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training;
<\/div>
  
<\/div>
\- Adhere to and follow all the group standards, policies and regulations pertaining to safety using equipment and established working methods;
<\/div>
\- Assist other departments when necessary for cross\-departmental support;
<\/div>
\- Perform all other job\-related duties as assigned.
<\/div><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
\- At least two years of previous show\/theater experience in a similar environment; equivalent comparable technical experience related to Rigging will also be considered;
<\/div>
\- Basic understanding and familiarity of knots used in Entertainment;
<\/div>
\- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook);
<\/div>
\- Ability to work, climb and maneuver in heights;
<\/div>
\- Basic knowledge of the following is an asset:
<\/div>
o Fallprotection;
<\/div>
o Ropeaccess;
<\/div>
o AutoCAD;
<\/div>
o Mechanical aptitude is desired such as, fabrication, chainhoists, counterweight systems,etc.
<\/div>

<\/div>
\- Previous aerial, acrobatic or theatrical Rigging is a plus;
<\/div>
\- Ability to obtain OSHA 10 course completion card;
<\/div>
\- Fluent in English, both written and spoken; Ability to clearly and effectively communicate via headset;
<\/div>
\- Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays;
<\/div>
\- High school diploma or GED completion;
<\/div>
\- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job including, but not limited to: climbing, crouching,
<\/div>
kneeling, standing, lifting, sometimes for extended amounts of time; lifting at least 75lbs, sometimes 100lbs, unassisted, operating mechanized equipment, such as forklifts, etc.; Full list of essential functions will be sent in the offer.
