Semi Truck Driver

POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Semi Truck Driver for Lion Energy, you will be a key part of our new logistics operations—transporting our industry-leading energy storage products across the region and beyond. You will operate a full-size semi with a 53-foot trailer, ensuring safe and timely deliveries while representing Lion Energy with professionalism on the road and at customer sites. This position is primarily local, with most nights spent at home, and over-the-road routes a few days every other week. For the right candidate, this role offers the opportunity to grow into a Truck Driver Manager position as our fleet expands.

We require a Hazmat (H) endorsement for this position. If you are not currently certified, we are willing to help the right candidate obtain it.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle (tractor-trailer) safely and in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Transport loads according to scheduled routes, including multi-day over-the-road trips every other week.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate ELD logs and required paperwork.
• Ensure proper load securement and cargo safety, including handling hazmat shipments in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
• Assist in refining operational processes for our growing trucking division.
• Maintain a clean and organized cab and adhere to company safety standards.

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Hazmat endorsement (H) preferred; must be willing to obtain within company-provided training period.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
• Knowledge of ELD use and basic truck maintenance.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes occasional multi-day trips.
