Welder I

 At Luck Stone, we are looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team and help us build, repair, and maintain the equipment and structures that power our operations.

What You’ll Do

• Install & Fabricate – Safely install metal components to complete projects on time and to standard.
• Repair & Maintain – Perform high-quality welds and metal repairs using TIG, MIG, and other processes to ensure equipment availability, safety, and performance.
• Safety First -Respond promptly to urgent safety issues or critical repairs, preventing hazards before they occur.
• Support Operations -Maintain tools and shop equipment in excellent condition, request supplies, and coordinate with team members to keep projects moving efficiently.

What We’re Looking For

Education: High school diploma or GED

Experience: 1 + years in welding, repair, and fabrication (construction or industrial environment/shop preferred)

Valid drivers license, pass a DOT physical

Certification: a plus but not necessary. 

Travel- Individual must be able to travel overnight on occasion to our locations including Northern VA, SC, NC and GA as needed.  

Skills:

• Proficient in TIG & MIG welding techniques, 
• Skilled in safely operating fabrication tools (grinders, band saws, drill press, etc.)
• Ability to wear a respirator and safely handle demanding work conditions
• Physical ability to lift and carry 40 lbs

• This is a hands-on role in a quarry environment, with frequent exposure to dust, weather, elevated positions, and tunnels. Safety is always our top priority.

  Salary starts at 23.73 an hour and could increase with experience.
